About This Role:

An integral member of the Office of Recruitment and Admissions Leadership Team, the Assistant Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging will develop and implement strategic plans to attract and enroll underrepresented undergraduate students to Kansas State University. This position requires an individual who is knowledgeable about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging issues in higher education, as well as the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with campus partners, prospective students, families, and high school counselors.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education specific to recruitment, admissions, new student orientation, enrollment management or student affairs.
  • Two years of successful supervision of full-time professional employees.
  • Demonstrated experience in making data driven decisions.
  • Social and communication skills and the ability to engage with others of diverse backgrounds.
  • Possess a high energy level and be able to work under strict deadlines.
  • Strong ability to lead, multitask and stay organized; exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, team player with a commitment to a high standard of excellence. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology including Customer Relationship Management tool (experience with Technolutions Slate or Salesforce is helpful), Student Information System such as PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, efficient use of email, etc.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is helpful but not required.
  • Master's degree specifically in student personnel administration, higher education administration, or a related discipline.

$52,530 - $66,929 annually
