JOB DESCRIPTION
The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and relationship-driven professional to join our team as the Association Director of Donor Experience. This key role will be responsible for the engagement, cultivation, and stewardship of relationships with major gift donors, which is critical to our organization's fundraising efforts and annual campaign goals. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and working closely with the President & CEO, this Director will be based in the YMCA Association Resource Office, which provides essential support and resources for our programs and services. By helping to secure major gifts and facilitate our associations annual campaign, the Association Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the YMCA can continue to make a lasting impact on lives of children, families, and communities in Fort Worth and surrounding areas.
The YMCA Association Resource Office is the central hub for support and resources for the entire YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth. By housing essential functions such as philanthropy, communications, and people and program development, the Association Resource Office ensures that all branches of the YMCA can effectively deliver high-quality programs and services that align with our mission and values.
This centralized support structure enables the organization to maximize its impact on the community, improve operational efficiency, and foster collaboration among staff and volunteers. As a member of the YMCA Association Resource Office team, the Association Director of Major Gifts will play a critical role in securing necessary resources to sustain and grow our programs, ultimately enabling the YMCA to better serve the children, families, and communities of Fort Worth and surrounding areas. EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required, possible to use relevant work experience to offset degree requirements. CFRA certification is a plus. YMCA Leadership certification required within three years from date of hire.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
  • Proven track record of cultivating and securing major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with donors and effectively communicate the impact of their support.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with fundraising software, databases, and other tools for tracking and managing donor relationships.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA, with a passion for positively impacting the lives of children, families, and communities.
  • Excellent team builder with the ability to manage teams of staff and volunteers.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, capable of working effectively with board members, staff members, volunteers, and donor/prospects.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Lead our annual campaign and major gifts process for the Y, ensuring stewardship, donor recognition, staff and volunteer training, on-going education around the Y cause and fundraising initiative are aligned with the mission, strategy and operational objectives.
  • Manage the case development process for the annual campaign; including strategy, messaging, timelines, and campaign materials-both print and audio-visual production.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual campaign training program for staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with the President & CEO, Chief of Staff, and other Senior leadership to set fundraising goals, develop donor engagement plans, and create compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy, identifying new donor prospects and cultivating relationships with current and potential major gift donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, conducting personalized outreach and fostering strong relationships through regular communication, updates, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Coordinate and execute donor cultivation events, stewardship activities and other initiatives to engage major gift donors and recognize their contributions to the YMCA.
  • Track and report on major gift activity, progress towards fundraising goals, and donor engagement, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded in the organization's donor base.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop impactful stories and materials that showcase the positive outcomes of major gift-funded programs and services.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of YMCA programs, services, and mission ensuring that all significant gift fundraising initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals and values.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Woth offers a competitive salary and benefits package for selected candidates.
The yearly salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 and will be commensurate with the selected candidates experience.
