Job Description Qualifications:
The Boeing Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) organization in Global Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer who has worked in Immersive Technologies, such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) or mixed reality (MR). The primary focus of this role is to leverage these technologies to aid in the development of new maintenance solutions that will support aircrew and maintainers across a wide range of aircraft systems in our portfolio. This role will contribute to the development of integrated solutions linking existing and future capabilities into customer facing products. Additionally, you may help map the technologies in our portfolio to our customer's most pressing capability needs, both domestically and internationally. You will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our technologies and ensuring that our systems meet the emerging and future needs of our military customers.
The ideal candidate will possess Game Engine (Unity / Unreal) experience, but this role is open to anyone excited to learn these technologies. On the job training will be provided to gain additional competency in VR and AR development. Web-based development, advanced analytics, and other excited technologies are also involved.
The team uses Agile methodologies to support all aspects of product development. The applicant will be required to actively support the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions for our products and the processes we use to develop.
Position Responsibilities:
- Passionate about developing new capabilities, especially AR/VR/MR, learning analytics, and web-based digital solution
- Communicates well with fellow developers on team and key stakeholders to understand design requirements
- Collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering team to build and implement solutions
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle in an Agile development environment
- Review and provide input for technical approaches
- Perform requirements development and interface definitions
Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree
- 1+ years of work experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and testing
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc
- 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc
- Unity 3D or Unreal (Game Engine) experience
- Visual Studio (Integrated Development Environment)
- Experience with Git or a similar version control system and CI/CD
- Has successfully developed and deployed innovative software capabilities to customers
- Experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Experience with cloud computing and analytics technologies
Associate Level - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior Level - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Hybrid/Telecommute:
This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. (Hazelwood, MO). This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Associate level - Summary pay range 85,000 - 115,000
Mid-Level Summary pay range: 104,550 - 141,450
Senior Level Summary pay range: 122,400 - 165,600
