Job Summary
The Associate Videographer is responsible for helping create engaging, on brand, conversion focused product videos for Finish Line and JD Sports US digital properties. This position plays a role in the video production process from start to finish, including pre-production, shooting, editing, and post-production. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:
- Produces high quality, well-lit, well-composed, compelling and creative content in line with brand guidelines.
- Edits photo and video content in appropriate post-production software.
- Consistently meets deadlines and production metrics within a fast paced environment to ensure a successful shoot.
- Operates and maintains cameras, gimbals, audio recording devices, lighting, and editing technology.
- Has ability to problem solve lighting and imaging needs as needed.
- Responsible for complying with all studio internal processes.
- Publishes video and audio files after review
- Assists in the maintenance and organization of the video studio, gear, and production supplies.
- Stays current on ecommerce, video and photography trends including global and consumer trends, assessing and communicating their potential impact to the business.
- Ability to work in a creative, fast paced environment.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in photography/film plus 1-3 years professional work experience. Should have advanced expertise working with Canon professional video camera equipment and a working knowledge of video lighting techniques. Experience operating and balancing gimbals.
Video eCommerce experience is a plus. Internal candidates with JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Must have expert proficiency in all aspects of video editing. Specifically knowledge and experience working with various frame rates and when to use them, how to interpret footage and use slow motion, and editing and transcoding videos for online media. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite especially Adobe Premiere Pro a must. Should be fluent in both Mac and PC operating systems.
