The Boeing Company is looking for a highly motivated Associate Technical Illustrator to join their team. This is a hybrid position located in Hazelwood, MO. Candidates will be required to perform some work onsite. This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility
Position Responsibilities:
- Creates basic isometric, orthographic, axonometric, and perspective illustrations, wiring diagrams, and schematics for technical data products.
- Gathers engineering data to support creation of technical data products. Integrates text and illustrations. Interfaces with customers for basic clarification of input.
- Integrates text and illustrations. Interfaces with customers for basic clarification of input. Researches existing illustrations/graphics to create or revise technical illustration products.
- Adds metadata information to files to enable efficient retrieval of stored illustrations.
- Applies regulatory or organizational standards and specifications to produce illustrations for technical publications.
- Participates on internal departmental teams to develop or revise existing standards, processes and procedures.
- Ensures company products continue to meet applicable internal and/or industry standards.
- Participates in the investigation of emerging technologies and contributes to the development of new illustration tools, techniques and processes.
- Participates in the assembly of technical data products for final delivery.
This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Hazelwood, MO) This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Technical Illustrating / Drafting
- Minimum of 2 years' experience using CAD Software
- Associates Degree Required (Drafting or equivalent preferred)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with military or Department of Defense customers
- Experience with aerospace drafting or equivalent work scope
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor + 2 years' related work experience, 4 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: 55,250 – 74,750
