Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain REST API.
- Utilize Agile development practices – sprint planning, backlog grooming, code reviews, etc.
- Document technical development tickets, with focus on attention to detail.
- Value diverse, inclusive teams and creating an environment where people of all identities, experiences, and backgrounds can thrive.
- Own and solve problems across technology and business teams.
- Use modern solutions to automate and retire legacy tools/solutions.
- Identify root causes, set next steps, take decisive action, and communicate effectively by jumping into uncharted territory.
- Select frameworks, develop and communicate common solutions, develop/improve standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Required
- A bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in software development or a related occupation.
- 5 years SQL experience.
- 5 years Java experience.
- 5 years Spring Boot experience.
- 5 years REST API development experience.
- 5 years version control system experience.
- 5 years build tool experience.
- 2 years of railroad pricing application and standards knowledge.
- Must pass background check investigation and medical review.
