What you will do-

As the Associate Sourcing Manager, New Product Introductions (NPI) you are responsible for all sourcing/supply chain/procurement-related activities from product development through New Product commercialization, obtaining the best quality, service, and long-term cost value for products. Responsibility includes developing and executing strategic sourcing plans aligned with global procurement, focused on cost, capacity, quality, service, and strategic partnerships. You will serve as the partner for all sourcing activities to Design, Engineering, Advanced Operations, Finance, and Quality teams. In addition, you may be responsible for supporting supply continuity efforts, capacity expansion, optimal cost, and continued growth of legacy products.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Preliminary influence on key project team members to inspire quicker overall deliverables for projects while focused on long term supply strategies.

  • Overall supplier management of the product development lifecycle including design, implementation, verification, validation, and transfer to operations.

  • Negotiate and implement contracts and agreements (NDA’s, SOW’s, developmental agreements) supporting R&D

  • Negotiate and drive year-of-year cost reductions to achieve optimal long term optimal costing

  • Develop and ramp component sources for New Products and support the NPI

  • Perform formal supply chain risk analysis and propose and develop mitigation strategies focused on supply continuity

  • Negotiate supplier cost reductions and NRE reductions during product development and continuous cost reduction initiatives through the project lifecycle

  • Support the execution of external supplier-required deliverables including supplier quality agreements, validation, and verification activities, and part/supplier certifications

  • Lead sourcing analysis and selection process and perform cost analyses

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in supply chain management, business, operations management, or relevant major -required

  • 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement or supply chain for New Product Introductions -required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of New Product development cycle -highly preferred

  • Project Management experience -preferred
