The Associate Services Principal (ASP) is a hybrid position focusing on both service delivery and new business development at their assigned accounts. The ASP optimizes delivery-related activities for services projects across multiple practices and ensures achievement of key performance metrics such as: billable utilization, revenue recognition, and gross profit. This position also participates in uncovering other CDW services opportunities within their assigned accounts. The ASP typically works alongside senior members of the Services Principal team at large ccounts, though they may also manage smaller accounts on their own.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manages delivery projects, including CDW delivery team members, alliance partners, and subcontractors
- Ensures all delivery teams achieve established performance targets
- Ensures services solutions are delivered to clients on time, within budget, and meet all quality, design and contractual specifications
- Ensures appropriate margin targets are established, project scope is well defined, and project risk is acceptable
- Works directly with the client to drive the closure of critical issues, addressing root causes
- Works collaboratively with the staffing function to obtain the right resources for projects
- Maintains a billable utilization target through Project/Program Management or Consulting (technical or management) on projects at assigned accounts
- Collaborates with the sales team in closing other CDW services business, including personal participation in the selling process
- Helps author/review all SOWs and projected financial outcomes
- Assists with account maintenance activities, including: pipeline, project tracking, contracts, etc.
- Cultivates the company reputation as a leading edge provider of services solutions
- Advocates for the CDW project teams around Recruiting, Coaching and Rewards & Recognition
- Enhances CDW’s project delivery capabilities by educating others & developing tools

Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related field
- At least three (3) years of Consulting and Project Management experience with a major Services firm in a client-facing role

- Demonstrated experience with advanced and complex technology projects in support of business initiatives
- Demonstrated consulting experience in a specific technology domain or management/advisory capacity
- Experience working with long-term clients where delivery, financial results, expectations and new service opportunities were handled methodically
- Demonstrated ability to engage in difficult conversations with project teams and clients on issues, risks and escalations
- Demonstrated experience helping to develop longer-range project plans and schedules to complete complex projects
- Demonstrated ability to transfer technical skills/knowledge to client
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated leadership, delegation, coaching, mentoring, personnel management skills
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% or as needed to other CDW locations, meetings and client sites

Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- PMP, CSM, or ITIL/ITSM certification
- Strategy or digital transformation consulting experience with Fortune 500 clients
