Summary
We are seeking an innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic Associate Scientist to work on building our Immunology and Immuno-Oncology programs. You will work primarily at the bench to help drive target identification, validation, and patient selection strategies.
Your Role:
- You will culture and engineer human and murine primary and tumor cells using genetic tools
- Assessment and analysis of cancer and immune cell function and phenotype by multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting, gene expression analysis, and other cell-based assays
- Perform T cell functional and phenotypic assays including proliferation, differentiation, and exhaustion assays
- Live mice handling, including tumor cell inoculation, tumor measurements, and drug dosing
- Mouse necropsy and tissue harvesting/processing for down-stream applications
- Assist with the training of lab personnel
- Prepare samples for sequencing, gene expression, and protein expression analysis
- Work in an engaged team environment both collaboratively and independently
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required
What You Bring:
- BS or MS in cancer biology or immunology (or related) with 1-7 years' experience in industry or related academic lab(s)
- Experience with cancer biology and/or immuno-oncology is preferred
- Experience with tissue culture, and cell-based and molecular assays (e.g. western, Q-PCR, ELISA)
- Experience performing flow cytometry and related data analysis
- Experience with small rodent handling is preferred
- Experience with immune cell (e.g. T cell) functional and phenotypic assays is a plus
- Experience with lentivirus preparation and infection is a plus
- Ability to analyze and present data
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Independent, flexible, self-motivated
