SMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Associate Scientist!
Job Title: Associate Scientist I
Job Location: North Chicago, IL, U.S.A. 55442
Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)
Pay: Starts at $25.00 an hour
Shift Structure: ONSITE, 7:00AM OR 10:00AM - 4:00PM OR 7:00PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
The role of the Associate Scientist: In this role, you will be responsible for conducting experiments in a lab setting, documenting results, and performing lab GMP and GLP activities.
- Design experiments and testing schemes
- Analyze data and interpret results
- Write protocols and reports
- Present results to a cross-functional team
- Support Reagent manufacturing processes
- Conduct investigations on non-conformances and customer complaints
- Assist in developing/improving manufacturing processes and products
About the Associate Scientist:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field
- 0-2 years of industry experience
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations and audits a plus
- Familiar with process and test method validations
- Ability to learn new concepts or skills
- Ability to follow and execute instructions (oral or written)
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Basic data analysis skills
- Ability to function as part of a team
- Shall be able to perform under pressure to meet project deadlines
