Description Overview
The Associate Release Management Analyst is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, coordination, and implementation of changes and software releases within an organization. The Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that changes and software releases to an organization's IT systems and infrastructure are managed effectively, efficiently, and with high quality, while minimizing disruption to business operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership abilities, business acumen, technology proficiency, and project management knowledge.
Scope of the Role

  • Ensure that software releases are planned and coordinated effectively, considering timelines, resources, and dependencies
  • Develop and implement change management plans, including timelines, resources, and communication strategies
  • Manage change requests from start to finish, ensuring that all requests are reviewed, approved or rejected, and tracked
  • Manage the release process, including creating release plans, coordinating release activities, and communicating release plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date release documentation, including release notes, user manuals and other relevant materials
  • Monitor release performance and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that the release process is continually optimized
  • Manage the planning and coordination of software releases, including creating release plans, coordinating release activities, and communicating with stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders, ensuring that they are informed of release plans and progress
  • Maintain release schedules, ensuring that software releases are delivered on time
  • Ensure that software releases are thoroughly tested, comply with organizational policies, and meet quality assurance standards before they are deployed
  • Analyze the impact of changes on the organization's IT systems and infrastructure, identifying potential risks and ensuring that mitigation plans are in place
  • Facilitate the weekly Customer Advisory Board meeting
  • Facilitate the root cause analysis and improvement actions resulting from incidents
  • Interpret release metrics to proactively drive improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Computer Systems Validation and Global Internal Audit to ensure compliance with regulations

Experience Required
  • 2 years ServiceNow or similar ITSM Change Management experience
  • Good understanding of the overall IT landscape including standard architecture, development, and configuration practices, processes and tools covering the transport of objects through the landscape
  • Understanding of change and Release Management methodologies and tools
  • Strong business and/or systems analyst skills and solid understanding of various business processes
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills are essential
  • Strong facilitation, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical leadership skills
  • Effective organizational skills and an ability to develop and implement plans for transforming issues/requests to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple activities
  • These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree within CIS, IT or a closely related field; combined with a minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in an analyst or developer role

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred
  • 2 years ServiceNow experience with Incident, Problem, Knowledge, Asset, and Strategic Portfolio
  • ITIL foundation certified
