Job Summary
The Associate Product Researcher supports the usability testing and research for assigned products. This role works with Product Managers, Product Designers, Content Strategists, Software Engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver assigned components of larger research projects in a timely and efficient manner. The Associate Product Researcher must have a basic knowledge of usability, testing, persona development and research methods. This role must also work cross-functionally, fostering relationships with key managers and individual contributors across the enterprise.
- Designs and conducts various user research, testing and feedback activities for Lowe’s customers and
solutions.
- Applies a basic mastery of professional user research methods, both qualitative and quantitative, when analyzing opportunities to deploy or enhance technical solutions, including but not limited to in-situ field studies, design thinking, journey mapping, moderated and unmoderated user testing, focus groups, competitive analysis and benchmarking, service mapping and task analysis.
- Designs and executes recruitment strategies for customers and associates being studied in aforementioned user research activities.
- Develops user personas to identify target user archetypes, identifying their needs, goals, frustrations and behavior patterns across demographic and psychographic segments.
- Collaborates closely with other product team members in designing and creating best in class technology solutions, including Product Management, Product Design, Content Strategy, Software Engineering and Data Analytics.
- Works independently with latitude for action on routine to moderately complex technical projects but exercises judgement to seek assistance from and escalate more difficult or complex problems or tasks to senior level researchers.
- When appropriate, independently identifies new user experience problems or opportunities and proposes technology-based solutions.
- Stays current on best practices of user experience research techniques and application.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Anthropology, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
- 1 Year Experience in UX Research or Product Management
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience executing small/mid-sized usability and research studies
- 1 Year Experience working in a product design or research function

Pay Range for CA, CO, HI, NJ, NY, WA: $59,400.00 - $112,900.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
