Pharmacoepidemiology is the study of the utilization and effects of drugs, devices, and diagnostics in large populations. This Associate Pharmacoepidemiologist role is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team focused on generating Real World Evidence (RWE) through observational data to expand clinical research diversity, inclusivity, and equality. We partner with industry leaders such as biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and digital therapeutic companies in generating evidence to support strategic clinical and regulatory decision making as well as strengthen value propositions for market access expansion. This role supports conduct of RWE studies through collaborations with members of the Walgreens Real World Evidence-Clinical Trials Organization across multiple therapeutic areas and partners. Good candidates will be able to demonstrate strong motivation and amplitude in supporting existing projects as well as eagerness for career growth and expansion of responsibilities. This role reports into the Senior Director, Pharmacoepidemiology, RWE Clinical Trials.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with external partners to understand study objectives and project needs.
- Project management for retrospective and prospective observational RWE studies
- Provide statistical and methodological expertise relating to the design and conduct of observational studies
- Oversee primary observational data collection and analyses, as well as contribute to interpretation and reporting of results
- Support thought leadership and contribute to advancement of methodologies relevant for conduct of RWE studies as they relate to scientific, high visibility industry topics.
- Understand top trends driving the expanded use of RWE
- Collaborate closely with customers to support development and production of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
- Develop strong cross functional relationships with other RWE and Clinical Trial teams.

Basic Qualifications
- Recent graduate of an accredited program (epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics) with a strong analytic component or other relevant allied health discipline.
- Ability to assist with proposal development, including background research.
- Ability to conduct targeted literature reviews.
- Ability to support development of study protocols, including design and analytical considerations.
- Support development of analysis plans for observational studies
- Experience with electronic data management
- Conduct data analysis and validation for observational studies.
- Ability to synthesize results of observational analysis in statistical reports, slide decks, and observational study reports.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare/disease processes and treatment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Meticulous and ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as additional statistical packages
- Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with strong people skills.
- Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Willing to travel up to/at least 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant post-Master’s experience in consulting, CRO, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry with evidence of career progression required
- Familiarity with medical terminologies and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/Read Codes)
- Experience with Good Pharmacoepidemiology Practice (GPP) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for RWE studies.
