Job Description

POSITION TITLE:Associate Pastor - Next Generation Ministries

REPORTS TO: Lead Pastor

POSITION STATUS: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Pastor is committed to promoting and living out our Vision, Mission, Values, Strategy, and Measures of LifeHouse Church Smyrna. He leads and oversees the Next Generation ministries (Young Adults, Students (6th-12th grade), and Kids (oversee and support children’s director)) in alignment with the vision and mission of LifeHouse Church Smyrna.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

Shepherding/Teaching:

• Live a Dependent Prayer Life
• Lead in disciple-making and living out the vision and mission
• Attend Elder Meetings
• Pastoral Counseling as directed by the lead pastor
• Preach on Sunday mornings as directed by the lead pastor

Leadership Development: Next Generation Ministries

• Integrate the Vision, Mission, Values, Strategy & Measures
• Engage, Equip, Empower, & Encourage Volunteers and Leaders
• Oversee the recruiting, onboarding, equipping, and training of volunteers.

Engage, Equip, Empower, & Encourage Next Generation Ministries Leaders

• Engage: Invest in students/young adults to get to know their hearts and encourage them to follow Jesus
• Equip: Focus on equipping students/young adults to lead in disciple-making
• Empower: Give students/young adults opportunities in Ministry to lead
• Encourage: Inspire students to “Live SENT” and to make disciples where they work, live, and play

Budget: Next Generation Ministries

• Prepare and manage the budget for the Next Generation Ministries

Planning: Next Generation Ministries

• Lead the Next Generation Ministries annual vision process (August-October)
• Plan and oversee the annual Next Generation Ministries calendar (weekly activities/special events)
• Plan and oversee the teaching calendar
• Manage the distribution and allocation of curriculum and supplies

Communication: Next Generation Ministries

• Celebrate, Communicate, and Collaborate to advance the Mission/Vision to:
• Staff
• Leaders and Volunteers
• Families

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
