Position Brand Description:

Provides technical support and performs analytical development work for protein synthesis lab process development through design and execution of experiments and development of analytical methods.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Understand the scientific principles required for analytical and semi-preparative scale separation of manufacturing intermediates and drug substances
  • Understand the chemistry and stability of biomolecules
  • Develop analytical methods for key process steps in synthesis of peptides
  • Design, conduct, and analyze experiments to deepen process understanding and optimize reaction conditions
  • Understand analytical instrumentation including LC, GC, titration, and mass spectrometry
  • Provide technical support to process development areas if needed
  • Participate in technology transfer of analytical methods
  • Utilize safe laboratory practices
  • Document all work in an appropriate manner

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in scientific disciplines of Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Engineering, with at least 1 year of relevant industry experience or relevant undergraduate research
  • Technical knowledge of biomolecules

Additional Preferences:

  • Additional relevant industrial experience in any of the following associated disciplines such as UHPLC Method Development, Mass Spectrometry, Protein Manufacturing, Peptide Synthesis, and Quality Control is desirable.
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and learning agility
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as in teams

Other Information:

  • Must complete Learning Plan for Scientist – TS/MS.
  • No certifications required.
  • Tasks require entering laboratory areas which requires wearing appropriate PPE.
  • This is an onsite position with onsite presence required the majority of the time. This is not a remote role.
