Under supervision this entry level clinical position provides Mental Health services to children, adolescents and adults. Caseload is lower and services provided are less complex than Clinician II and III. Provides crisis and emergency services as needed. Is responsible for taking call for emergencies on a rotating basis.

This posting is for multiple openings of a Associate Mental Health Counselor Masters at Providence Kodiak Island Counseling Center in Kodiak, AK. We are hiring for the following positions in the Community Service Department:

1) Associate Mental Health Counselor Masters - Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week

$10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

2) Associate Mental Health Counselor Masters - Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other behavioral health discipline. Or
  • Bachelor's Degree and actively pursuing an MA or MS in a Mental Health field. (Actively pursing means acceptance into a program and completion of one 3 credit course per semester.). Master’s Degree must be obtained within three (3) years from date of hire into the position.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree require a minimum of one year experience in a Mental Health related field.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience is preferred for candidates with a related Master’s degree.
