Associate Media Director (freelance)

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA is looking for an Associate Media Director, Freelance to join our General Accounts team!

 

The Freelance Associate Media Director for General Accounts (TaylorMade, Supernal, Nexon) will work closely with the VP, Media Supervisor, and Media Planners. This candidate will be responsible for addressing client business objectives through thoughtful integrated media strategies and plans as part of a collaborative team. This candidate needs to have a deep understanding of both digital and traditional channels from a strategy, planning, execution, and measurement standpoint. The Freelance Associate Media Director will work closely with several groups including the clients, creative agency, internal account and media teams, and media partners.

 

We are looking for a candidate that likes to get involved, roll up their sleeves, and provides expertise and guidance to our clients and internally at INNOCEAN.

 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Alongside the team, help lead the development and execution of integrated media strategies and plans that deliver on client’s objectives and goals. This includes:
•    Target research, strategic flighting, channel mixes, budget allocations, and partner recommendations
•    Both digital and traditional channels (e.g., linear, audio, print, OTT, digital, programmatic, paid social, paid search)
•    Trafficking (digital and traditional), media analysis, and reporting, etc.
•    Provide media innovation and guidance to move client business forward
•    Helps to manage current team members; set an example for the team, provide guidance, jump in when necessary, etc.
•    Utilize effective time management and project management skills to ensure deadlines are being met with quality work across all accounts
•    Ability to adapt and keep up with a quick paced environment; the planning team has several roles including strategy, planning, execution, and measurement

 

 

REQUIREMENTS
Education B.S./B.A. required - preferably in Marketing/Communications

 

 

EXPERIENCE
5+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying and management.

Must have a blend of experience that covers both Digital and Traditional channels (e.g., linear, audio, print, OTT, digital, programmatic, paid social, paid search)

 

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES
•    Strong strategic thought leadership 
•    Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks and consistently meet deadlines
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
•    Excellent written skills, verbal communications, and presentation skills
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Desktop programs, including excel, PowerPoint & Word

Reports to: VP, Media Director

Salary range: $102,000 - $125,000
Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, training, and transferable skills.
