Roles and Responsibilities:
- Top 3: Certified Level 2 XRAY technician is most important and the only show stopper; additional benefit would be Level 2 Dye Penetrant inspection. No previous issues, just challenging to find Level 2 XRAY Techs. Team: Site Team is about 150 people, Quality team is part of this and is about 18 people, NDT team is part of Quality and is about 4 people.
- Successful candidate must have 5 - 10 years of experience inspecting aerospace and / or military structural hardware and will primarily be assigned to perform liquid dye penetrant inspections, radiographic inspections.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Operate radiographic inspection equipment (ie: X-ray) and perform non-destructive inspections using that equipment.
- Perform liquid dye penetrant inspections.
- Interpret and report results of inspections in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Position could be 1st or 2nd shift
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- BS degree or college coursework is preferred but not required
- Thorough knowledge in all aspects of GD&T a must.
Qualifications for this position include:
- ASNT Level 2 Radiographer Certification. Level 3 certification considered an advantage.
- ASNT Level 2 liquid dye penetrant inspection or higher required. Level 3 certification considered an advantage.
- Use of all measuring tools and hand set up required.
- Dayshift with the potential of night shift available. Some overtime will be mandatory.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Must be able to bend, stoop & lift up to 25 pounds
