Job Description
We seek an Associate that is ready and willing to join a collaborative team of therapists that focuses on providing quality therapy to our community. The BBK Way emphasizes our ability to provide therapy to as many family members as possible, so that each family member feels represented and supported. Our clientele ranges from as young as four years old to teen clients struggling with anxiety and depression, to couples struggling with communication and boundaries, and older adults facing a difficult phase in their life. Our new Associate will be able to gain a broad scope of knowledge with many different clients, quality supervision, and support from fellow therapists to grow and develop themselves.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collection information from the client in an intake session using techniques such as assessments, interviews, discussions, and observations.
- Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families with various struggles such as poor communication, unhealthy relationships, difficulties coping, anxiety, depression, and so on.
- Maintain a client's file with up to date progress notes and confidential information relating to the client’s treatment.
- Be a client’s advocate to coordinate required assistance and treatment for the client.
Upon commencement of the position, the Associate will be given new clients as soon as possible, gradually increasing their client load.
Applicants must have a current California AMFT number.
