Job Overview
As part of the Marketing and Communications team you will assist the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to create and implement targeted and effective marketing and communication plans, with the aim of increasing participation in recycling programs. You will be responsible for managing TerraCycle digital platforms that connect brand partners and the general public, to ensure a great experience for collectors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as a contact point between account managers and the broader MarComm team, including customer service, PR, design, and the Digital Marketing Manager for assigned brands.
- Assist the Marketing Manager to develop marketing plans for brand partners, working with all team members to complete a comprehensive plan covering all MarComm activities such as PR, SM and promotions.
- Assist Digital Marketing Manager in development of collector community focused TerraCycle content to increase engagement with collection programs.
- Develop content to improve collector community experience for both drop-off and mailback programs.
- Develop content to explain the recycling process to participating and potential collector communities, and encourage increased participation in, and support for recycling.
- Work with the marketing team to grow the collector network through strategic collaborations, events, outreach, and digital communications.
- Execute program launches, including program page creation, developing cross-platform copy, briefing designers for social media static/video content, and creating other marketing collateral that creates a better collector community experience and supports the overall aim to increase recycling rates.
- Execute program maintenance and development by updating copy on website, providing support to Digital Marketing Manager to manage collector community database, contributing to strategies that help grow programs.
- Work with the Marketing Manager and Account Management team to develop and execute activations/competitions/content that support program growth.
- Assist the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to manage TerraCycle’s charity program.
- Manage implementation (including T&Cs), tracking, and completion of all contests and promotional activations, including delivery of prizes.
- Ensure brand marketing calendars are integrated into the overall content calendar.
- Creating reporting documents for brand partners that demonstrate value in conjunction with the Account Management team.
- Represent TerraCycle at industry and partner events.
Desired Qualifications
- Qualifications in marketing or communication, or similar experience.
- Demonstrated experience in working with community organisations, schools, NFPs etc.
- Demonstrated experience in marketing activities that result in specific, measurable actions.
- A working knowledge of marketing tools such as social media, email campaigns, retail activations and competitions and how to leverage them to meet business and environmental goals.
- A creative and practical approach to building brand and program awareness.
- Ability to think independently yet work in a close-knit team.
- Ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously and switch priorities effortlessly.
- Experience with creating content for shorter form mediums such as social and email copy
- A demonstrated interest in recycling, sustainability and purpose-led business.
- High energy, positive entrepreneur and fun team player who can collaborate cross-functionally.
