Associate Manager, Fresh Supply Planning

Position Summary:

The Associate Manager, Fresh Supply Planning is responsible for day-to-day purchasing and replenishment activities across Produce and other perishable categories. In addition to ensuring that inventory is available at all warehouse locations and in optimized quantities, this role will liaise daily with vendor contacts as well as receiving, inventory control and accounting teams to ensure all orders and invoices are processed and reconciled accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience and a strong understanding of purchasing and replenishment methods, inventory management, and vendor management.

Essential Functions:

• Write and manage purchase orders for Fresh vendors, including but not limited to Produce, Prepared Foods, Deli, Meat & Seafood.
• Maintain and update SAP source and requisition configuration based on vendor settings.
• Follow up with vendors and merchant teams on product deliveries, out of stock issues, and pricing issues.
• Schedule and resolve goods pickups, returns and credits with vendors and accounting departments.
• Validate vendor invoices to ensure correct purchasing price and quantities are issued.
• Work with warehouse teams to ensure products are received timely and accurately, and trouble shoot delivery and receiving issues.
• Engage with merchants and demand planning to forecast and replenish in accordance with promotional plans, key holidays, seasonal transitions, and allocations

Interactions:

Supervision Received: Plans and carries out work assignments and handles issues in accordance with specific instructions from the Supply Planning Manager and VP Supply Chain

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and/or education
• 2-3 years in food or CPG focused merchandising or procurement
• Experience with Microsoft Suite required, SAP knowledge preferred
• Experience managing procurement and vendor management across multiple departments

• Strong follow-up skills in managing requests and projects that span several weeks
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
• High level of enthusiasm, initiative, and solution driven mindset
• Proven ability to be resourceful, pro-active, and a self-starter.
• Comfortable juggling and coordinating multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment.
• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture.
