Terraphase is seeking candidates for a senior-level Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP). The desired individual can provide strategic and technical support on client projects and effectively support business development efforts within the firm’s growing environmental investigation/remediation and litigation support service areas. The role entails significant responsibilities for client engagement, project management, and staff development. Projects will commonly involve multidisciplinary engagements where effective collaboration and communication with a team of consulting scientists and engineers will be expected/needed. The location for this position is flexible.


The Role

  • Site Investigation: Conducting comprehensive site investigations to assess the extent and nature of contamination. This involves collecting and analyzing soil and groundwater samples.
  • Remediation Planning: Developing and implementing remediation plans that outline the methods and technologies to be used to clean up contaminated sites. These plans must adhere to state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all remediation activities meet regulatory standards and requirements. LSRPs are knowledgeable about the applicable environmental laws and regulations, such as the New Jersey Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA).
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluating the potential risks associated with site contamination and assessing the impact on human health and the environment.
  • Remediation Oversight: Overseeing and managing remediation projects, which may include the excavation and removal of contaminated soil, groundwater treatment, and the implementation of engineering controls.
  • Reporting: Preparing and submitting detailed reports to regulatory authorities, documenting the progress and results of Site Remediation efforts.
  • Communication: Collaborating with various stakeholders, including property owners, government agencies, and the public, to ensure transparency and cooperation throughout the remediation process.


Who You Are

  • Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) certification in the relevant state (e.g., New Jersey).
  • Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental remediation, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
  • Strong commitment to client service and professional development.
  • Strong reputation among clients and peers for creativity, integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise.
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Experience leading project teams and supervising the work of others.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as a member of a team.
