Entry-Level Landscape Architect

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic candidate with 0-2 years of professional experience for an Entry-level Landscape Architect position to join our team of 8 Landscape Architects and 6 Planners. Responsibilities will include assisting the design team with master planning, conceptual site design, graphic representation (presentation layout, digital renderings, and visualizations), construction documentation/detailing, and construction administration. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with Landscape Architects, planners, economic development specialists, and engineers to develop outdoor spaces for the built environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work with a range of design professionals within the firm including Landscape Architects, planners, economic development experts, surveyors, utility coordination and permitting specialists, as well as civil, structural, and stormwater engineers.
• Team with design professionals outside of the firm including aquatics consultants, architects, skatepark designers, lighting designers, and electrical engineers.
• Create Landscape Architectural drawings for all project phases.
• Participate in design meetings, work sessions, client coordination, and public forums.
• Consult with product manufacturers, evaluate, and select construction materials.
• Assist in editing technical specifications and reviewing shop drawings.
• Participate in marketing efforts including proposal development and presentations.
• Regularly visit construction sites to gather information and review design intent.
• Receive mentorship in creative and technical aspects of design and design programs.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 0-2 years professional experience in Landscape Architecture.
• Proficiency or experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), SketchUp, Lumion, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and GIS.
• Organization and time management skills the ability to multi-task under rigid deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues both in the office and remotely.
• Flexibility to travel for site visits and project-related meetings as needed.
