General Summary:
As a member of HCA's Engagement Team, the Associate, Engagement is responsible for executing engagement initiatives that drive employee engagement. This position will also be responsible for leading and executing on corporate level employee recognition and appreciation initiatives. This position will also collaborate with the Communication Lead in communicating with our employees through internal and external channels. Additionally, this position will support overall department and team level projects with a focus on increasing engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute programs and events for our California locations. This includes sourcing vendors, budget management, catering, and activities, as well as creating, maintaining and changing communication plans and coordinating executive hosts and schedules. Keep inventory of gifts and equipment, prepare presentations, conduct regular audits, and other program and event duties as needed. Partner with other engagement team members to assess HCA's ROI on events and ensure programs are meeting the desired outcome of increased engagement.
2. Coordinate Corporate Recognition/Appreciation Initiatives. This includes budget management, quoting vendors, price negotiation and gift distribution. Assist employees/leaders with questions, build/maintain reporting that would be distributed to leadership and other program duties as needed. Provide suggestions on alternate recognition opportunities, which align with our employees' wants and business needs.
3. Partner with HCA's Communication Lead to assist with drafting, editing and posting corporate communications and content for HCA's Corporate social media accounts.
4. Participate in projects to support the engagement team and HR's overall initiatives.
5. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
2-5 years of previous experience in a corporate environment, including experience with digital media, video production, and communications.
3 years of previous experience managing social media content for a corporate brand. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Video and podcast producing/editing skills.
Strong storytelling, writing and editing skills with a thorough understanding of HCA's culture and business.
Strong social media skills (developing content and generating engaging ideas).
Strong ability to think strategically and develop content that aligns with business objectives.
A problem-solver and creative wordsmith/designer, with a healthy understanding of different audiences.
Strong people skills.
Ability to learn and retain new concepts and technology quickly.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain the highest level of productivity.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Follows through on all assignments independently with the ability to complete tasks and projects on deadlines with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
