Associate Editor: Digital Womens Group at a360media
Opportunity
Woman’s World weekly, the #1 bestselling magazine at retail, and First for Women, the #3 bestselling magazine at retail (which together compose the Women’s Group at a360media), are looking for an enthusiastic digital content writer/editor to help with the concepting and execution of new content across multiple digital channels and with the digitization of a library of existing content. You will be working with a strong team both to capitalize on the incredible library of successful content assets and to build out that content kingdom into new areas that will drive both digital and overall brand growth.
You will work closely with the Women’s Group print/digital editorial team while also assigning out to digital contributors. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2+ years of experience in digital roles covering women’s lifestyle, with a focus on food and/or nutrition. The candidate with the best fit for the position is a scrappy self-starter who is creative and eager to use data to drive results. You want to concept and produce content that can help millions of women, with a special focus on women over 40. You are committed to journalistic excellence and understand what it takes to get digital content to perform. You are also able to juggle multiple workstreams.
Who you are:
- You’re an editor/writer with 1 to 2+ years of experience in digital platforms, preferably working with women’s lifestyle and food/nutrition content—even better if you’ve had experience reaching consumers over 40
- You have your finger on the pulse of the kinds of content women over 40 in Heartland America want to read
- You have an understanding of SEO best practices and a range of tools that help you optimize content (bonus points if you’ve previously worked with ahrefs)
- You’re able to move quickly and pivot as needed
- You are enthusiastic about experimenting with new digital content approaches and testing their efficacy to continually update your understanding of what works based on the data
- You’re a team player who embraces working with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of roles for the benefit of all
- Previous experience working in WordPress is a major plus
What you’ll do:
- Concept (using your understanding of keywords and the reader), pitch and create original high-quality digital content relevant to women over 40 for the sites
- Work with the print team to digitize existing magazine content and incorporate existing print content into original content as needed to optimize results
- Incorporate data from sources like Chartbeat to help improve all the content you produce to drive high-quality, high-quantity digital traffic
We are currently working two days remote and three days in our offices Englewood Cliffs, NJ, which is just 5 minutes from the GW Bridge.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000
