During your internship as an Associate Economist at Numerator, you will be responsible for analyzing consumer data and helping prepare summaries of consumer spending patterns. You will also prepare presentations for high-profile clients on how their businesses may be impacted by changing economic conditions.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
Writing R code to combine publicly available data with Numerator’s proprietary data and to develop insights on the macroeconomic environment.
Preparing charts, exhibits, and presentations based on economic and consumer insights for business and government audiences.
Writing survey questions, fielding surveys, and analyzing survey results on consumer behavior.

- Programming skills in the R programming language
- Some knowledge of economics, but more importantly, interest/ambition/passion in understanding more about economics and consumer behavior
- Excellent writing skills, presentation skills, and communication skills
- A high level of emotional intelligence to navigate fun but challenging assignments
