Job Description
General Overview
The Associate Dispatcher works in the Property Operations department to oversee ticket completion as it relates to repairs and maintenance. The Associate Dispatcher is responsible for determining priorities, generating routes, and responding to requests in real time. In addition to providing oversight, the Associate Dispatcher acts as a shift supervisor to all Prop Ops employees within the markets being serviced.
Essential Functions
The Associate Dispatcher will be required to:
- Prioritize and generate routes for new and existing repair and maintenance requests for maintenance techs and property managers.
- Coordinate directly with third-party vendors to request quotes, schedule onsite meetings, and to follow up on existing requests.
- Oversee all prop ops employees within markets being actively dispatched. This includes but is not limited to ticket assignment and follow up and rerouting maintenance techs and property managers as appropriate.
- Work with the Lead Dispatcher to generate agendas for and lead Stand Up Meetings as appropriate.
- Oversee and work with the Operations Admin.
- Complete and submit business expenses and billable hours in accordance with company policy.
- Assist with other tasks and projects, as assigned
Requisites
- Exemplary planning and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and upstanding driving record and access to reliable personal transportation
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Basic repair and maintenance knowledge is a plus
- Comfortable leading and working within a team
- Process-oriented
- A proactive approach to problem-solving (critical thinking), resourceful
Schedule & Compensation
This is a 6-month contract position based in New Orleans, LA.
Work Schedule
Monday, Thursday, Friday: 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
The Associate Dispatcher role is a full-time position based out of Heirloom’s Headquarters in New Orleans, LA
This position is currently eligible for a hybrid work model with 3 days in office and 2 days remote work following a 90 day training and probationary period.
Compensation for this position is hourly and based on experience.
Training
The first 90 days of the role will be an immersive training, mentorship, and onboarding experience. The purpose of the 90-day training period is to learn Heirloom’s proprietary installation process by participating in new property installs across multiple geographies.
