Associate Director, Sensitive Vendor Management

The Associate Director, Sensitive Vendor Management will report to the VP, Head of Healthcare Compliance and partner with CareDx’s functions and teams to implement transactions involving service engagements, funding/support requests and business courtesies with Healthcare Compliance Sensitive Vendors and customers (Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs), Patients, Patient Advocacy Organizations (PAOs), Payers, Lab Directors and Distributors), in accordance with the annual strategic/tactical plans, to meet the company’s goals in a timely and compliant manner.
In this capacity, the Associate Director, Sensitive Vendor Management will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for applicable operations and compliance controls for service engagements, funding/support requests (non-grants) from Healthcare Compliance Sensitive Vendors and customers and business courtesies offered to Healthcare Compliance Sensitive Vendors and customers.
The Associate DirectorSensitive Vendor Management will use leadership, influence, and strategic thinking to operationalize controls robust enough to withstand regulatory scrutiny. This position will interact with and advise key business function Leadership and their staff within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Quarterback implementation of the annual Transactional Plans and corresponding master calendar for service engagements, funding/support (non-grants) requests and business courtesies with Healthcare Compliance Sensitive Vendors and customers.
- Track service engagements and funding/support requests (non-grants) throughout their lifecycle to ensure:
- Applicable compliance controls are implemented in accordance with applicable Written Standards (e.g., policies and SOPs).
- Engagement Owners or Funding/Support Requesters produce required documentation to justify the validity of the request and corresponding payments in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to:
- Maintain the vendor master profiles for Healthcare Compliance Sensitive Vendors and customers.
- When applicable, establish Purchase Orders (POs) and track budgets against the POs.
- Ensure timely payment for services rendered or approved funding/support requests (non-grants).
- Collaborate with Finance and Customer Facing Field Employees to:
- Track business courtesy spend offered to Healthcare Compliance Sensitive Vendors and customers in an accurate manner.
- Track aggregate business courtesy spend to Healthcare Compliance Sensitive Vendors and customers subject to the annual Stark Law Non-Monetary Compensation spend limits.
- Communicate metrics to ensure CareDx does not exceed the limit.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Medical Affairs/Clinical Operations to centrally track contracts and payments to HCOs for grants and clinical trials. Identify non-grants and grants with the same entities from across the organization and communicate metrics to facilitate transparency for Leadership.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Testing Services Logistics to centrally track contracts and payments to HCOs for specimen collection services.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or B.A. degree. CCEP certification preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of business operations and healthcare compliance experience in the Diagnostics, Biopharmaceutical or Medical Device industry, including experience with building or advancing healthcare compliance programs and working with business teams to achieve business objectives.
- Sophisticated ability to demonstrate creativity and flexibility in developing solutions that satisfy both business requirements and legal obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects in a fast-moving environment.
- Able to influence and gain consensus across teams.
- Ability to lead as well as collaborate, and function well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive work relationships and effectively interface across the organization.
- Excellent communicator – both verbal and written - with business acumen and the ability to consistently meet or exceed project deadlines.
- Flexible, high level of integrity, action and goal oriented.
