A proven track record in drug discovery is essential, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment is crucial.

This position demands individuals with a comprehensive understanding of the interdisciplinary drug discovery process, coupled with strong managerial and organizational skills within an outsourced setting. Moreover, you should excel in a multidisciplinary environment, serving as a key leader with a keen focus on people management, critical organizational decision-making, and overall team integration. Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Devise, implement, and carry out strategic Medicinal Chemistry plans across multiple CROs to enhance efficacy, ADME/DMPK, and safety profiles, aligning with ambitious milestones.

  • Formulate and implement strategies for safeguarding and expanding intellectual property while exploring innovative approaches for expanding chemical space.
  • Engage proactively in the identification of new therapeutic targets and contribute to the expansion of DeepCure's discovery portfolio by offering insights into target chemical biology and structural biology, facilitating their translation into machine learning models.
  • Efficiently collaborate with the leadership team, departmental managers, and various functions, making substantial scientific contributions that significantly influence the company's research direction.
  • Take proactive steps to explore novel or alternative technologies to enhance the efficiency of the drug discovery process.
