Associate Director - Manufacturing Capital Finance

Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for production of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) molecules located in Lebanon, IN. This facility is Lilly’s largest investment in manufacturing capacity and is intended to provide APIs for current and future products, including new modalities. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the startup team for a greenfield manufacturing site, using the latest high-tech equipment, advanced highly integrated and automated manufacturing systems, and have a focus on minimizing the impact to our environment.

The Associate Director is a member of the Lebanon API Finance, Procurement and CCI team and serves as a Finance leader and key business partner for the manufacturing site’s operational and functional leadership as well as Capital Project Teams.

The role has full financial responsibility for the site and capital projects to deliver on financial commitments while:

• Influencing/driving the site and capital teams to become more cost effective
• Drive the site and capital teams to deliver on productivity agenda
• Position/communicate LP1’s value proposition around cost/value
• Ensure Financial compliance
• Bring external view

Responsibilities:

Planning/Forecasting/Reporting

• Lead processes for strategic plan, quarterly forecasts, and annual business plan for site expenses
• Influence/drive the Business to enhance the value of the site – cost reduction, new business, productivity agenda, implement best practices and operational improvements
• Lead monthly financial closing, including preparation of accounting journal vouchers and documentation
• Understand, prepare and present monthly results of site metrics (expenses and capital) and be in position to discuss course corrections with Site and Capital Project Lead Teams
• Implement Product Costing process to the site and lead annual planning

Cost Competitiveness/Productivity Agenda/Business Partnering

• Influence Business to look at new opportunities working with operational and functional leadership for execution of productivity and gross margin improvements
• Supporting management and business partners on Operational readiness, expense/capital control, strategic sourcing, materials pricing, and operational opportunities
• Benchmark among other Lilly sites and externally to drive innovative ideas
• Influence direction of Capital Plan
• Increase Financial Acuity of the site

Compliance

• Ensure appropriate financial controls exist for all income statements and balance sheet accounts
• Lead execution of site SOx controls
• Provide guidance to the site on financial policies, internal controls, costing, and accounting matters

Leadership

• Staff, coach, and develop a dedicated and diverse team that can deliver on all individual goals and objectives

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field and 6 years of experience in relevant role

OR

• MBA and 3 years of experience in Finance or related role
