Job Summary

In collaboration with the U.S. Anti-Money Laundering Chief Administrative Officer, oversee and manage the governance, risk management, and reporting functions for RBC's Combined U.S. Operations Financial Crimes program.

Job Description

Governance

  • Lead, facilitate, or otherwise support the Financial Crimes working groups that support the operation of the monthly CUSO Financial Crimes Risk Management Committee.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and alignment of tailored training initiatives throughout the CUSO Financial Crimes teams.
  • Coordinate and maintain calendar of governance committees and related deadlines.
  • Assist in the alignment and enhancement of internal AML / Financial Crimes controls across the CUSO.
  • Maintain relationships with key contacts throughout the CUSO risk stripes and Toronto Financial Crimes teams.
  • Maintain industry expertise through regular participation in AML related forums and training.
  • Benchmark and research opportunities for innovation & strategy.

Alignment & modernization of CUSO risk management and administrative functions

  • Manage the ongoing CUSO tracking of Risk Appetite Measures and reporting of key performance / risk indicators.
  • Continued development and modernization of internal service level agreements.
  • Create and maintain various CUSO financial crime procedural documentation suitable for Audit and Regulatory review.
  • Support the oversight of existing CUSO policies and procedures as well as enterprise best practices for procedural documentation.
  • Support or manage responses to CUSO regulatory examinations, including the Federal Reserve Board.
  • Manage or support CUSO AML strategy related projects including project/task management and required documentation, where applicable.
  • Ensure that new project/product/service risk assessments are executed consistently throughout the CUSO Financial Crimes teams (e.g. Inherent Risk Profile & PAR standardization).

Reporting

  • Collaborate with CUSO and enterprise teammates to manage and continually improve the quarterly RIHC Risk Committee AML report, monthly CUSO Financial Crimes Risk Management Committee report, and develop efficiencies and alignment across reporting functions in the CUSO.
  • Support operational risk reporting for CUSO Financial Crimes vertically through Toronto Financial Crimes as well as horizontally throughout the CUSO Financial Crimes and CUSO Operational Risk teams.
  • Manage data collection and preparation of materials for monthly FCMC meetings.

Manage Relationships with Primary Stakeholders

  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relations with key constituents across the CUSO Financial Crimes teams, Toronto Financial Crimes teams, and other CUSO risk disciplines.
  • Participate in periodic updates with BSA/AML Officers, US Internal Audit update meetings, or other key Financial Crimes management meetings.
