Job description

Who we are looking for:

The Associate Director, BI (CRM) is responsible for the technical implementation of current and future business intelligence and business analytics solutions. You lead all CRM analytics and reporting for the assigned account. Identify campaign improvements and personalization opportunities.  You understand and coordinate cross-channel and omnichannel reporting. 

You are proficient with the design of database architectures, data warehouses, data migrations, data marts, business intelligence packages, business analytics tools and implementing user reporting/dashboarding solutions based on business requirement and content knowledge. You have management skills to drive projects to completion on schedule with client business owners and IT stakeholders, as well as a strong understanding of database methodology, data analysis, advanced SQL queries, ETL, business intelligence and business analytics applications.

What you'll do:

  • Perform | Implement business intelligence requirements using SQL, ETL, business intelligence and analytics tools, and database programming. Develop new capabilities and architectures that capitalize on the development of client portal, and ad-hoc BI capabilities. Develop test-and-learn strategies and omnichannel personalization opportunities. Participate in sales meetings, presentations, demos, and follow-ups. | Leverage CDP to inform audience building, segmentation, and behavior-based triggers.
  • Identify | Data analyst skills to determine root cause problems for data integrity and data quality issues identified through QA or by business owners. Understand the SDLC and how BI and BA processes fit into that; ability to operate using different PM methodologies, i.e. agile or waterfall
  • Lead | Provide guidance and recommendation on reporting packages and dashboarding tools; keep track of emerging solutions and innovative trends in the industry; contribute to the company's knowledge of the competitive environment, market opportunities, and industry trends. Meet with client business and technical leaders to identify and scope the business opportunities; document and vet business requirements; identify effective reporting and data visualization techniques; identify data sources; identify risks and constraints; design mock-ups. Work effectively with internal management to develop contract terms, prepare and deliver proposals and contracts, and negotiate deal closure with prospects

What you'll need:

  • Ability to engage key decision makers
  • Ability to articulate and participate in selling complex solutions to C-level executives
  • Proven consultative and strategic skills
  • Advanced SQL scripting skills
  • Proficiency with SQL stored procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency with dashboarding concepts and tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Spotfire, Domo, Google Data Studio)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics concepts
  • BS/BA degree - Major in Information Technology, Marketing or Business Administration preferred
  • Minor in Computer Science, Mathematics, or quantitative methods a plus
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in data warehousing, business intelligence environment
  • Experience supporting marketing, sales, or financial teams preferred
  • Extensive experience with database and data warehousing solutions: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Google Big Query, Amazon Redshift and similar
  • Exposure to industry-standard traditional business intelligence solutions (SAP Business Objects, Cognos, OBIEE)
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx, Talend)
  • Experience with SalesForce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience working with Customer Data Platforms such as Tealium, Experience Cloud, or Unity a plus
  • Exposure to SAS, Python and R a plus
  • Experience working with an enterprise CDP solution a plus
  • Skilled in MS Office tools (including MS Project)
