Associate Data Analyst - Entry or Junior level
Galorath is hiring an Entry level to Junior level Cleared Associate Data Analyst possessing a strong quantitative background with an emphasis in statistics, finance, and cost estimating analysis. The individual will have familiarity with various analysis models and tools, strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
This is currently a remote position for residents within Northern, VA - Arlington/Fairfax, Virginia.
Applicants need a current adjudicated Secret clearance, or ability to obtain a Secret level - must be a US Citizen.
Seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously, or in a team environment and with excellent communication skills. Quantitative, research and analytical skills to provide analysis, programming, modeling, and execution. Will support Army acquisition program measurement, estimation, evaluation, and analysis of software acquisition programs.
MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and knowledge of cost modeling.
Proficiency in R statistical modeling software (Python, Microsoft Power BI and or MS Access proficiency a plus).
Responsibilities
The individual will perform a variety of project and statistical analysis support tasks. Work may include maintenance of data repositories, schemas, data imports, test data, dashboards, cost research, data collection, life cycle cost analysis, and cost estimating relationship and model development.
Skills Required
0-2 years of experience possessing strong quantitative background with an emphasis in statistical estimating analysis, familiarity with various analysis models and tools, strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously or in a team environment, with excellent communication, quantitative, research and analytical skills to provide statistical analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and experience in estimating processes, models and tools.
Candidates will also possess analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of estimating methodologies, cost estimating relationship development, cost model development, validation and normalization techniques, risk analysis, business case analysis and cost benefit analysis. Knowledge of processes in preparing cost estimates, assessing cost and budget impacts of program alternatives, and preparing and presenting applicable program documentation and briefings are a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences
