Associate Counsel 1

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking an Associate Counsel 1 to join our Legal Department.  The position is with our Provider Relations and Litigation team, and responsibilities include contracting with physicians and litigation support for non-malpractice cases.

Unit/Position Summary

The Associate Counsel 1 provides guidance and support on organizational legal issues.

• Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks.
• Writes, reviews, and advises on legal contracts and agreements.
• Ensures the organization operates in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Assists with representation of the organization in legal matters.
• Assists with governance, litigation and risk management activities.
• Works closely with outside counsel, in-house attorneys, and/or various stakeholders.
• May help represent and defend the organization against suits and claims.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Advanced degree - J.D. or LL.M.
• Experience: 0 years of relevant experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Must be a member of the Idaho Bar within one year.
