Associate Corporate Counsel

We are seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to join our team! The right fit for this position will not necessarily be experienced, but must be bright, flexible, and willing to learn. This position will report to the General Counsel.

Responsibilities:

• Review contracts and subcontracts
• Provide risk analysis and feedback to staff regarding contracts
• Ensure implementation and compliance with Company Policies & Procedures
• Manage property & casualty insurance lines and application thereof to contracts
• Complete regular ad hoc assignments, as delegated by the General Counsel
• Work as a partner with multiple business units in order to evaluate risk when making business decisions

Requirements:

• A J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
• A member in good standing of The Florida Bar (or taking the Bar Exam in Summer 2023.)
• Eligible to be admitted as authorized in-house counsel in Florida
• Strong business acumen
• Excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to operate autonomously and problem-solve to unilaterally figure out solutions to problems
• Contract review experience
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment
• Willingness to be part of a team, flexibility, and strong communication skills

Salary:

• $75,000 - $95,000/year
• Based on experience
