ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to be located in our Wilton, CT headquarters on a hybrid schedule. As the Associate Corporate Counsel, you will be a key member of a small but mighty team reporting directly to the General Counsel. As a trusted business partner, you will have the opportunity to support a diverse portfolio of global projects in a fast-paced, high growth company.
Responsibilities:

  • Review, revise and negotiate various agreements such as vendor, third party, commercial, distribution, employment, consultant agreements, among others
  • Negotiate contracts for the procurement of IT resources and technology software
  • Research and advise colleagues on various areas of the law, globally, including data protection, privacy regimes, GDPR, and other regulations impacting the business, and the ability to translate that understanding into SaaS and commercial contract negotiation
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review, providing guidance to internal business partners on standard and non-standard terms, policies, and questions.Review and update global corporate policies and procedures, as well as provide legal education to associates.
  • Maintain the contract management system, including updating workflows, coordinating approvals, and generating contract reports
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • JD Degree or equivalent
  • 7-9 years of attorney work experience, preferably with law firm and in-house experience, with sound knowledge in commercial contracts, SaaS agreements and data privacy.
  • Experience negotiating contracts for the procurement of IT resources and technology software required.
  • Admitted to the CT bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized/eligible to be licensed as Authorized House Counsel in the state of CT
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience preferred with some in-house experience
  • Significant exposure to complex commercial, corporate, or transactional matters
  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation and negotiation skills
  • Comfort with tactical execution
  • Passion for learning and solving problems, while having fun and going outside your skill set
  • Superior attention to detail, time management, and follow through
