Associate Consultant, Technical Project Management

Artic Consulting has an immediate opening for an Associate Consultant, Technical Project Manager, to join our team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position.

Description

The mission of the Associate Consultant, Technical Project Management is to assist our clients with multiple strategic and logistical activities, as well as manage projects within planned schedule and budget in tandem with successfully managing stakeholder expectations while growing their Project Management skills. 

Please note that the Associate Consultant, Technical Project Management role is a Remote/Work-from-Home position. 

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of project outputs.
• Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and risks to senior management and possibly the client.
• Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing of project deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and best practices.
• Provide support and guidance to junior project managers and team members.

Required Qualifications

• Great organizational skills including keeping track of lots of details, tasks, and action items.
• Knowledge and understanding of project methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall
• Prior knowledge of Office Productivity Suite
• Experience in managing software development projects using agile methodologies and tools such as Azure, Jira, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to document simple Business Requirements
• Ability to learn the business landscape through interviews with key stakeholders, where detailed notes are captured and collected to allow others to benefit from the information.
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle, processes, and technologies
• Proactively seek ways to increase the level of responsibility and take ownership of new areas of responsibility.
• Possessing at least a beginner's knowledge of coding is a plus.
• Ability to raise issues and challenges appropriately to management.
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined team player; ability to accomplish project-related tasks with some guidance.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-output, time-sensitive environment.
• Ability to self-educate and fully complete training programs.
• Ability to assist with the successful management of small/medium-sized projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Ability to create light SQL Queries
• 1-2 years of experience in Technical Project Management or a similar role
• Collaborative, with the ability to influence team members, development teams, and other business groups, often without direct management authority.
• Desire to receive feedback and create a course of action based on feedback
• Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Desire to work in a technical and business environment with a passion for Project Management.
• Prior consulting experience is preferred.

Professional Skills

• Light experience with planning and forecasting.
• Light experience with risk management.
• Some knowledge of Project Management methodologies (Agile to Waterfall)
• Time management and organizational skills
• The critical thought process, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Able to adapt to a team-oriented environment.
• Can work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. 
• PMP or other relevant certification is a plus

Salary Range 

$ 75,000 - $ 100,000
