We are currently looking to add a dynamic Associate Consultant to our passionate team of environmental professionals.
Salary ranging between $42,000 - $45,000
- Represent company in all aspects of consulting as an Associate Arborist Technician including but not limited to construction site monitoring and site meetings, tree inspections and evaluations, risk assessments, tree inventories, diagnosis, advanced report writing
- Independently conduct complex GPS/ GIS field inventories including i-Tree information, data processing, and writing of final report
- Write technical letters and reports as required to support findings and recommendations
- Maintain high degree of client communication during the consulting process including follow through with clients until project is complete
- Keep abreast of current research and developments in Urban Forestry
- Provide support for Plant Health Care team with overflow production, operations, applications, analysis, and testing
- Familiarity with pesticide, fungicide, & nutrient applications including sprays and trunk micro-injections preferred
- Perform ornamental and detailed pruning as needed
- Assist with management of accounts, special projects, and property inspections
- Write client proposals recommending services according to company standards when appropriate
· Must be an ISA Certified Arborist
· Must hold themselves to the highest level of ethics to do what is right for the safety of the community, ensure the long-term survivability of a tree, and respect the wishes of the client
· Must have related college degree or equivalent work experience
· Knowledge of Commercial Arboriculture standards and practices
· Computer, internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and data base applications
· GIS/ GPS experience using a variety of equipment and ESRI based software
· Technical report writing skills
· Advanced tree species, pest, and disease identification and diagnosis
· Risk assessment standards and procedures; resistograph experience preferred
· Must be able to complete field operations that includes operating the air spade, root pruning, trenching, Airtech Soil Fracturing, IPM inspections, light pruning, Plant Health Care applications
· Interpretation of local and regional municipal ordinances
· Organizational, decision making skills, and ability to work independently
· Ability to effectively communicate complex information to a wide range of individuals/professionals
· Ability to work outside in a wide variety of environmental conditions
