Associate Conference Producer
Are you passionate about creating engaging and informative educational conferences for the Legal, Corporate and Tax & Accounting Professionals industries? Do you have strong research and communication skills and a knack for building relationships with industry experts? If so, you might be the ideal candidate for the Associate Conference Producer role at Thomson Reuters.
Role Summary:
As an Associate Conference Producer, you will work closely with the senior Conference Producer and Thomson Reuters Institute team to help design and deliver thought leadership content that's presented at high-quality conferences that meet the needs and expectations of our clients.
About the Role
In this role as Associate Conference Producer, What we expect of you:
  • Conduct research on current and emerging topics and trends in the Legal, Corporates, and Tax & Professionals industries
  • Help identify, recruit and maintain relationships with speakers and subject matter experts who are leaders and influencers in their respective fields
  • Draft conference agendas, session outlines and related conference materials that are directly tied to industry/research that are relevant, engaging and informative
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional representation of Thomson Reuters to our clients and partners; this may include helping to develop strategic talking points for senior executives and external moderators, when requested
  • Collaborate with Thomson Reuters Institute marketing and event planning teams to help ensure consistent and effective promotion and execution of thought leadership events
  • Produce run of show/housekeeping documents for program co-chairs, faculty and AV teams
  • Assist with the collection and maintenance of faculty and conference details on internal sites including Smartsheet
  • Travel to attend and assist with conferences, as needed

About You
To be successful in this role as Associate Conference Producer, you will have:
  • 1 to 3 years of overall experience preferably in conference production, research, strategy (i.e. critical thinking) or related fields
  • A keen interest in and knowledge of current industries and challenges and opportunities these industries face today and into the future
  • Demonstrated research skills and a critical eye for selecting and evaluating content
  • Creative and bold thinking with the willingness to take calculated risks
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) and a comfort level engaging business professionals and senior executives
  • High energy, accountability, and attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to five times per year
  • Bachelor's degree required (Liberal Arts preferred)

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $63,100 - $117,300. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
