Associate Chemist I

This is a 12-month contract, onsite in the Burlington, MA location. Occasional visits to the Billerica, MA lab will be necessary.

Your Role: Associate Chemist, Lipid Synthesis

As a senior member of the delivery group, you will work on crafting a groundbreaking platform which will enable the therapeutic delivery of mRNA with high precision and safety.

Your responsibilities include:

• Synthesis and analysis of novel lipids
• Active engagement with formulations and biology team to develop structure activity relationship (SAR) based designs.
• Present study observations and data in cross-functional project meetings.

Who You Are:

• BS in Organic Chemistry, or related life sciences field with 0-3 years of experience working in academic or industrial setting.
• Experience in NMR, LS-MS, HPLC, ELSD, CAD and varied purification strategies.
• Track record of recent active hands-on lab work involving organic synthesis.
• Experience with lipid synthesis desired.
• Experience with flow chemistry is a plus.
• Familiar with Pharma or Biopharmaceutical industry, especially drug discovery is desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience of working in a non-viral delivery group is desired.
• Highly organized, detailed, creative, results-driven problem solver with demonstrated flexibility and collaborative working style.
• Language: English required

Duration:

· 12 months with performance dependent extension.
