Associate Attorney (Hybrid)

Description:

Our firm has an opening for a full-time California licensed attorney.
We help victims who have been injured in matters involving products liability, catastrophic accidents, maritime law, PI/WC crossover cases, premises liability, legal malpractice, auto accidents, and more.
For now, the position will primarily be remote, however, the applicant must be willing and able to attend in-person hearings, meetings, etc. as-needed.
The attorney will handle cases from sign-up to resolution (settlement or trial), with guidance and staff support.

Candidates must have reliable transportation, be available to work full-time during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, and have a quiet work environment that is free from distractions and noise.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• At least three years of recent full-time experience as an attorney in a personal injury plaintiff or defense firm, with demonstrated ability to independently handle personal injury cases
• A firm understanding of how to independently prepare for and attend depositions (witness, doctor and client), trials, discovery, law and motions work, and everything else that a case requires
• Comfortable attending hearings, virtually and in-person. Appearances include, depositions, MSCs, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, etc
• Demonstrated ability in drafting and researching discovery documents, correspondences, pleadings, motions and more
• Comfortable interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals
• Attention to detail and pride in one's work. Must be meticulous and professional when speaking/writing to and with clients, other attorneys, and medical professionals
• Must work well with firm staff and have an interest in helping those who have been seriously injured
• Must be proficient in using MS Word, Outlook, Adobe, and calendaring programs. Candidates may be asked to verify proficiency in these programs
• An interest in learning about the law, growing with our firm and gaining experience in the field is a must
