Associate Attorney (Full-Time, Remote) 

Winer, Burritt & Scott, LLP, a plaintiff’s civil litigation law firm seeks a motivated, independent, and experienced litigation attorney based out of our Oakland office. Our firm has over 40+ years of representing plaintiffs, with two offices in California.  We are looking for an associate to join our team to support a partner specializing in sexual abuse cases.  We offer a flexible work environment, including remote work.  This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking for independent work and the opportunity to take the initiative and grow their skills.    

ABILITY to: 

• Propound and respond to written discovery. 

• Review records with an eye for damages and privacy considerations. 

• Take and defend depositions. 

• Track and organize large volume of cases. 

• Work well with support staff, delegating and providing guidance as appropriate. 

• Draft motions and ex parte applications. 

• Work effectively in a remote work environment. 

REQUIRED Skills and Experience: 

• 3 to 7 years’ litigation experience, preferably experience as plaintiff attorney. 

• Experience taking and defending depositions, regular court appearances, arguing motions. 

• Excellent written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.  

• Proven ability to prioritize litigation workload and manage time. 

JD and California Bar License required.  

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
