Associate Attorney

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our criminal defense team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as trials, hearings, and negotiations
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
•  Interview clients and witnesses to gather information for cases
• Present evidence and arguments in court to support clients' positions
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Provide legal advice to clients on a wide range of issues

​​Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Alaska
• Some experience as an attorney, preferably in criminal defense
• Strong litigation skills with the ability to effectively present arguments in court
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
• Proficient in conducting legal research using resources such as Westlaw
• Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
