Position Overview
Join Blue Owl's Value Creation Team as an AI & Analytics Associate. Deliver value through a focus on data-driven advisory, operational optimization, and innovative AI solutions for the GPs where Blue Owl owns minority stake investments (our "Partner Managers"). Thrive in a dynamic environment and collaborate with team members on diverse projects leveraging your analytical skills and technical curiosity.
Responsibilities:

• Generative AI and Data-Driven Advisory:
  
  • Focus on practical use of generative AI in the alternative investment industry (researching and explaining use cases, building proofs of concept, evaluating 3rd party solutions)
  • Use data analysis to better advise Partner Managers across various functional areas (e.g., investor relations, deal team, finance, operations, accounting, technology, legal/compliance)
  • Specialize in technical and data-intensive projects, leveraging analytical expertise.
• Collateral Development:
  
  • Craft presentations, dashboards, and concise reports to communicate analytical findings and associated advice.
• Tech Integration:
  
  • Build tools, automate workflows, and occasionally develop lightweight applications to support Partner Managers.
• Project Management:
  
  • Handle multiple key tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely updates and regular status reports.
• Process Enhancement:
  
  • Continuously innovate and adopt new technologies to boost team scalability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree; 1-4 years of experience in structured finance (investment bank, private credit, trustee)
• Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance.
• 3-5 years in top-tier investment banking, management consulting/technology advisory, or leading asset management firm.
• Mastery in data analysis, Excel, and familiarity with tools like Tableau or Power BI. Experience with data transformation tools is a plus.
• Practical knowledge of generative AI, especially large language models. Hands-on experience with LLM APIs or direct access to open-source models is beneficial.
• Coding experience a plus, preferably in Python.
• Familiarity with Microsoft's Power Platform is a plus; especially Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Exceptional communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives.
• Self-starter, multitasker, and a passionate team player.
• Curiosity about the alternative investment industry, with knowledge of core operating functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint presentation design.
• Ability to maintain discretion, especially when handling sensitive data.

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $100,000 to $135,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
