Job description

Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Associate Accounting Analyst staff works independently in performing highly complex professional accounting duties and maintains a high level of coordination and cooperation with other areas. Duties include but not limited to departmental wide State Hospitals fund reconciliation, maintaining and recording complex accounting records, preparing cash flow analysis and projections, tracking reimbursements, PFA processing, handling special projects and preparing the year-end financial reports and statements.

Working Conditions

  • DSH-Sacramento is located at a new 11 floor high rise building.
  • A majority of the essential functions of this position may be performed via telework and/or with flexible scheduling. Consistent with Policy Directive 5338, Telework may be considered with prior approval from management. If approved, incumbent is expected to provide in-office coverage on a rotational basis, and attend a variety of face-to-face meetings, and/or may travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.

The mission of the Department of State Hospitals is to provide evaluation and treatment in a safe and responsible manner, seeking innovation and excellence in hospital operations, across a continuum of care and settings.
DSH-Sacramento has moved into a modern, sustainable and innovative office building located at 1215 "O" Street, Sacramento, California. Some of the amenities of the new building include the following:
  • First-floor retail space (separate access from 12th Street)
  • Café with multiple vendors available to the public
  • Outdoor seating with pedestrian walkways
  • Large, shared conference room on the first floor with a maximum capacity of 162 individuals
