Department Overview
Position Summary
The associate medical director is responsible for the organization, direction, implementation, and evaluation of programs within their specialty. In collaboration with the Medical Director, the associate medical director will promote and be jointly accountable for all domains of quality - safety, effectiveness, efficiency, operational and financial, timeliness, patient-centeredness, and equity - in their program, clinic, and units where they practice.
Current Minnesota RN license- Current Minnesota Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 500 hours of clinical experience in last 36 months (may be filled through graduate clinical hours)
- Clinical expertise in a specialty, including advanced expertise in evidence-based assessments, risk behaviors and treatments of illnesses, comprehensive assessment, differential diagnosis, and interventions to treat or prevent illness or disease within last 5 years
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in basic clinical specialization preferred
- Experience in research and leadership roles preferred

- Leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability in medical administration
- Demonstrated excellence pediatric care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and management skills
