The Associate Director of Operations provides direct oversight of program components, including client education and treatment, staff development, case consultation and direct intervention.

Required Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of three years experience in mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric or related field.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email

Preferred Education / Licensure / Experience:

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
  • LMSW, LMFT, or LPC from an accredited institution and licensed to practice in the applicable state.
  • Supervising members of a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring programs reflect company values and standards of care expectations.
  • Continue to build a program system that is trauma sensitive, safe, secure, and stable; family centered, connected to the community; and which relies on evidence based practice necessary to support clinical services
  • Monitors the overall care for clients and families served
  • Responsible for assessing staff professional development needs and provide appropriate training
  • Ensure staff meet performance expectations including contract requirements, timelines, regulations, federal and state laws
  • Rotates in the on-call administration rotation as necessary and is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the staff when assigned the on-call responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining functional knowledge of all KVC systems, including but not limited to third party Electronic Health Records and Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Develops and maintains systems to ensure services are in compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulatory standards and contract terms and conditions and understands applicable accreditation requirements ((TJC, COA, and CMS).
  • Regularly attends required meetings or reviews minutes of meetings to remain up to date; attends in-service training as required or needed
  • Acquires and develops program resources to meet identified needs of clients and staff as directed by treatment team
  • Demonstrates positive leadership for clients and employees and is an excellent role model of trauma informed care practices
  • Participates as an internal and external trainer on evidence based models of practice to include but not limited to trauma informed care and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
  • Maintains working relationships with stakeholders and community partners
  • Convene multi-disciplinary treatment teams to staff difficult cases as needed
  • Monitor all direct reports’ completion of performance and disciplinary actions as applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring clients receive active treatment including daily living, educational, and recreational activities
  • Provide consultation to other involved agencies regarding treatment implementation and client progress
  • Participates in the administrative team that reviews adverse incidents to determine appropriate follow up actions
  • Provides oversight of staffing and scheduling
