Viterbo University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, Tenure Track

Assistant/Associate Professor position in Psychology beginning August 16, 2024. Seeking teacher/scholars to offer a combination of courses in undergraduate Psychology. Applicants should have the ability to teach courses in Cognitive Psychology, Brain and Behavior, Research Methods, and one upper division course in the applicant's area of expertise. Full time faculty advise students, demonstrate a scholarly habit, and serve on department and university committees. Candidates demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic Franciscan mission of Viterbo University, social justice, equity, and inclusion. Full time teaching load is 12 credits per semester.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology. ABD candidates who will successfully defend prior to August 2024 are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to candidates with prior teaching experience. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Viterbo University is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of a USA Employment Visa for international candidates.

Rank and Salary: Appointment is at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (for those with relevant experience and qualifications) with a nine-month academic year appointment beginning August of 2024. Salary is competitive with other private institutions of similar size, mission, and educational philosophy.
