The PhD in Global Leadership is an online program with in-residence immersion experiences twice per year. The program has approximately 141 graduates and 140 students across the globe.

The Warrior Community seeks a full-time faculty member for the Ph.D. in Global Leadership program. This full-time position is based at the Fort Wayne campus; however, a hybrid position may be an option as the appropriate candidate is selected. We are searching for a candidate who will be responsible for teaching, serving on dissertation committees, and supporting the online Ph.D. program in Global Leadership. This position has a central role as a full-time faculty member to help lead and implement outstanding programs within the Ph.D. program, as well as work in collaboration with the program’s adjunct faculty located throughout the United States and Internationally. This position will contribute to quality teaching, scholarship, and service to the university and to the Ph.D. program. While this position reports to the Dean, there is ongoing collaboration and direction from the Associate Dean of Graduate & PhD Programs. For the hybrid role the successful candidate is expected to be on campus for Fall and Spring Immersion, select dissertation defenses, and faculty development days, with other meetings potentially might be held remotely.

The faculty member will teach an equivalent of eight online courses each academic year. Courses include content areas of Global Leadership and organizational management, higher education administration, introduction to research, and research design. See the curriculum for more details at www.indianatech.edu. The faculty member will serve as chair or member of 10-12 dissertation committees. Developing curriculum and course materials that address professional and scholarly interactions with students, according to departmental guidelines and outcomes, and participating in course and program-level learning assessments are essential duties. Additional duties of equal importance include helping to plan, facilitate, and participate in twice annual Immersion weekends, maintaining an active research agenda including professional presentations and publications, participating on campus committees, departmental meetings and initiatives, and participating in continual quality improvement initiatives within the program.

The ideal faculty member will hold an earned doctorate in Leadership, Global Leadership, International Studies, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, Health Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a relevant field from a regionally accredited institution. A minimum of three years of teaching experience is also required.

Preferred qualifications include a record of academic publications and presentations in a relevant field, previous online teaching experience, experience in curriculum development, experience as a practitioner in leadership, and experience in international travel, specifically in leading students. The successful candidate will know Canvas, Microsoft Office, and TEAMS (or comparable), have teaching experience at the graduate (preferably doctoral) level, and have previous service on research committees, preferably at the doctoral level.

A complete job description is available to qualified candidates. PhD candidates who have experience in teaching and in leadership are welcome to apply, with completion expected prior to the candidate’s start date.

Demonstration of the ability to work with a diverse student population, and demonstration of developing effective relationships with students that prepare students for academic and career success are necessary. Applicants should be able to use technology effectively in all aspects of their work, including teaching.

Application materials must include a cover letter, vitae, and transcripts. Applicants must be prepared to write a written response to the mission and diversity statement of Indiana Tech. Faculty are expected to provide official transcripts upon hire.

Only candidates with completed applications in Paycom will be considered at the interview stage. This position remains open until filled; candidates will be reviewed as application materials are received.
