Position Overview
Position Summary
Assist the Head Coach in all duties related to the management of an NCAA Division II Collegiate Volleyball Program.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pass the NCAA Rules Test
- Academic Coordinator and Advisor for ENMU Volleyball
- Abide by all NCAA, LSC and ENMU rules and regulations.
- Teach Classes in HPE Department
- Required to drive a university vehicle (15 passenger van)
- Assist in running practices and training of players, volleyball camps, recruiting fundraising, community service and public relations projects.
- Efficiently lead volleyball drills.
- Scouting and game film analysis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required with a Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years as a high school head coach or 1 year as a college assistant or head coach or college playing experience.
- A valid USA Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions (CDL endorsement preferred)
- Proficient speaking, writing, and organizational skills.
- Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas to others.
- Proficient computer, video-equipment, social media and public relation skills.
- Possess a strong desire to work with young individuals and a commitment to the success of each student-athlete.
- Must be a hard worker, self-driven person that can work independently.
- Ability to drive long distances for away matches.
Working Conditions
Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is medium in nature that at times requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Work is performed inside a non-smoking facility and exposure to blood-borne pathogens is possible.
- Requires traveling for games and recruiting purposes.
- Participate in volleyball drills and scrimmages.
